TAKER intake metering unit - Correct metering for perfect results
When planning recycling plants, great importance is usually attached to finding the right units for screening and separating materials. It is often neglected that the feeding situation on the screening units is also an important component in the plant and contributes significantly to the screening result. Only if the material is well homogenized and dosed will no conglomerates form on the screen deck and the screened material be optimally distributed in the system. In contrast to this, there are also no interruptions in the screening process due to feed stops or insufficient quantities. The supply of material to downstream downstream units remains constant. This not only increases throughput but also overall efficiency.
Do you want to accept loose materials such as compost, wood, biomass, waste, metal, stones, scrap, etc. and make them available for the next work step in optimum doses?

Then you are making exactly the right decision by using our TAKER series intake dosing systems
An intelligent modular system is the basis for the different product variants. This allows us to guarantee the flexibility to support your individual requirements. The aim is always to make loose material available for further processing without disruption, in the ideal quantity and at the optimum speed. The TAKER can be easily integrated into an existing system or used as a stand-alone solution.

Working methods
The TAKER receiving feeder is used to receive and meter materials to downstream conveying units.
- The material to be dosed is fed in using a wheel loader, excavator or conveyor belt (e.g. after shredding). The material falls onto the conveyor unit, e.g. scraper floor, rubber belt, vibro table, apron conveyor.
- Adjustable conveying speeds ensure dosing behavior and throughput capacity.
- Optionally mounted dosing rollers, which can be fitted with different tools, equalize the material and discharge it into the downstream conveyor system at a constant volume.
- The feed speed can be adjusted depending on the conveyed material, filling level, dosing behavior and required material quantity (for T-18, TL-12, TB-12)
Dosing roller
By individually equipping the dosing rollers with different tools, it is possible to actively influence the opening and dosing process. The feed speed can be adjusted depending on the conveyed material, filling level, dosing behavior and required material quantity. The throughput and the quality of the equalization are thus perfectly matched to the individual requirements of the material - the optimum solution with maximum efficiency. The TAKER has a front cover for quick access to the dosing rollers, which can be easily opened using a rack and pinion winch.

Scraper floor
The speed of the scraper floor has an initial influence on further processing as soon as it has been fed by the excavator or wheel loader. Stable, infinitely adjustable, driven scraper bars transport the bulk material from here to the dosing rollers, where it is equalized and delivered to the downstream unit in the appropriate quantity. The scraper floor can be moved forwards and backwards in inching mode to quickly and easily remove any blockages caused by impurities.

An receiving dosing unit is a machine that is used at the start of a processing plant, such as in recycling plants. Its main task is to feed material from a wheel loader or excavator to the downstream processing units, such as screening plants, in an even and metered manner. Integrated conveying technology loosens the material and ensures that it reaches the screening belt in the optimum quantity and speed. This prevents material jams and significantly improves the screening result.
The receiving dosing unit is a central component in every processing chain. Its main task is to ensure a consistent material flow. The screening quality and therefore the end result can only be optimised if the material is fed to the downstream units, such as screening systems, in a constant quantity and at a constant speed. A correctly metered material flow also prevents jams and interruptions. This significantly increases the overall throughput and efficiency of the system.
The TAKER receiving dosing system from Anlagenbau GÜNTHER is characterised by several key factors: It is designed and manufactured "Made in Germany" in Wartenberg, which stands for high quality and reliability. Its modular system enables flexible customisation to individual customer requirements and local conditions. Thanks to its well thought-out design, sophisticated technology and high-quality components, the TAKER dosing system is particularly low-maintenance and easy to clean, resulting in low operating costs and high availability.
The centrepiece of the TAKER receiving dosing unit is a combination of a robust scraper floor and a dosing roller. This technology makes it possible to actively influence the opening and dosing of the material. The feed speed can be precisely adjusted depending on the type of material, filling level and required quantity. This ensures a perfectly dosed material flow that optimises the throughput and equalisation of the material for the subsequent processes.
The TAKER receiving feeders are versatile and suitable for processing a wide range of loose materials. These include, among others:
- Organic materials: compost, biowaste, waste wood, bark and biomass
- Building materials & minerals: stones, earth, slag and building rubble
- Recycling materials: scrap metal, lightweight packaging, household and commercial waste
The receiving dosing units from Anlagenbau GÜNTHER are available in various designs to meet the most diverse requirements. There are basically two main types:
- Stationary TAKER: These dosing units are designed for permanent use at a fixed location in a processing plant
- Mobile TAKERs: These models offer maximum flexibility and can be easily relocated if required
GÜNTHER also offers customised special solutions. These unique dosing units can be equipped with different material feed systems, such as a conveyor belt, vibrating channel, steel plate belt or even SPLITTER spiral shafts, to ensure optimum material preparation for specific applications.
The receiving dosing units can be equipped with different dosing technologies and conveying units in order to optimally adapt to the material and application. There are four main variants:
- Scraper floor and dosing roller: The versatile TAKER variant is ideal for a wide range of materials
- Conveyor belt with rubber belt: This technology is particularly suitable for light materials such as lightweight packaging or very free-flowing materials such as sand and gravel
- Vibrating channel: This unit is designed for heavy, hard and granular materials such as stones, slag or scrap metal
- Steel plate belt: For special loads such as stones and soil or landfill material, the receiving feeders are usually equipped with a steel plate belt for high wear resistance
In addition to the dosing technology, the TAKER receiving feeders are available in various designs: as a hook-lift mobile version for maximum flexibility or as a stationary version for permanent use.
For the processing of heavy and abrasive materials such as stones and soil, an dosing unit with a steel plate conveyor is generally used. This robust material can withstand the high loads and vibrations caused by feeding heavy and hard materials. The SPLITTER X2 is an ideal solution for mobile use in this area, as it already has an integrated 5 m³ dosing hopper.
A receiving dosing unit with a vibrating chute is used to process sharp-edged and interlocked scrap. The vibration sets the material in motion and separates it, ensuring an even flow of material before it reaches the screen.
The SPLITTER HOOK from Anlagenbau GÜNTHER is an ideal solution for mobile scrap processing, where the feed conveyor is replaced by an integrated vibrating channel.
The RETURNER is a compact, mobile dosing unit that is used in particular as a return unit. Its main function is to collect oversize particles from a screening process and feed them back into a shredding system. This takes place until the material has reached the desired target grain size. A typical application example is the processing of material with a shredder and a SPLITTER screen deck. The oversize is fed from the screen to the RETURNER, which returns it to the processing circuit. However, the RETURNER can also be used as a simple mobile feeding unit.
